The Curse of the Scarab
Play-at-home game
60 Minutes
The duration of the game can be longer or shorter than 60 min. It depends both on the number of players and on the players' experience in solving puzzles. But all that matters is how much fun you have. ;)
2-4 Players
We recommend that the game be played by a maximum of 4 players. And if you're not all in the same household, you could use live conference/video sharing apps, such as Zoom or Skype.
12+ Years
The minimum age is merely a suggestion, as the game can be played even by younger kids, with the help of adults.
Requirements
Printer, pen/pencil, scissors, speakers (your computer's, or your phone's), modern web browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox).
The game plot
Your best friend Christopher, an avid archaeologist, has ventured off to find a precious artifact, within the the Great Pyramid of Giza. But because he's been missing for two days, you decide to go searching for him, hoping that he's safe.
Your adventure begins when you find Christopher's lost backpack and need to start putting together the clues, to get to him before it's too late. You'll have to face a multitude of different challenges, in order to find your friend.
How it works
After you order the game, you will receive an email with a link to the PDF that you have to print (7 pages), as well as the link to the game and a unique access code. The code is available for 4 different devices and 48 hours after you start playing. You can choose to start playing right away, or at any other time.
It can be played on your smartphone as well, but we recommend a larger monitor, if available.
No setup is required. The game will guide you in solving the puzzles and you'll also have access to hints, which you can use at any time.
